skull cap

Ok... There is this herb out there called skull cap (Scutellaria lateriflora).
It's supposed to make someone high like marijuana does . It's legal .
Is it bogus and a waste of time ? I would smoke skull cap instead of
marijuana if it was safe and effective like marijuana is and I'd
even make some hash with it ! :-)
Also, what about the salvia divinorum. I hear it is a type of
sage plant ? I also hear people have had many a bad trip with it.
I'd like to know more .
Please help me, I want to just have some fun once in a while without
becomming an alcoholic, junky or spending 25+ years in prison.

I used a tinture of skull cap for awhile, but never enough to feel it. A
tinture would probly be a better way of consuming it for an affect.
